SALLY PORTER
After graduation from high school, I worked as a Stenographer for the FBI in Washington D.C. until I moved to Tampa, Florida on New Year's Eve, 1955. I Spent the next twenty-five years as a legal secretary in Tampa and also served six so those years in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. Since leaving the law field, I have been as Assistant Security Director at a bank., a Tupperware Manager, Administrative Assistant to the owner of a Toyota franchise, to the Executive Director of the Tampa Downtown Partnership and currently to the CEO of Ferman Automotive Management Services, which is the hub fro nine dealerships and eleven franchises located throughout Central Florida.
In spite of work interfering with my social life, I have managed to travel a great deal throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and even to Switzerland and France on a skiing excursion. I have also driven the Alcan Highway to Alaska (probably the most scenic terrain of all my travels, although I must have fifty shots of the Matterhorn). Since January of this year, I have been to Steamboat Springs, Colorado skiing. experienced a ride in a hot air balloon, which was absolutely breathtaking, and spent a week cruising the Hawaiian Islands with three of my sisters. My plans for September include traveling to Michigan to the Class Reunion, Key West to spend the weekend on a 50" Hatteras, New Hampshire to partake in a clam bake and South Carolina to cast net for shrimp...
